The Mumbai Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has apprehended an individual from Thiruvananthapuram in connection with a threatening email received by Mumbai’s International Airport. The email, received on Thursday, warned of a bomb explosion at Terminal 2 and demanded a $1 million Bitcoin payment within 48 hours to avert the alleged attack. The sender, using the email address “quaidacasrol@gmail.com,” prompted Sahar police to register a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code related to extortion and causing fear or alarm.
