Several airports across India faced bomb threats on Tuesday, leading to heightened security measures and flight delays.

In the morning, a Dubai-bound flight scheduled to depart from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) received a bomb threat via email. Preliminary investigations revealed that the same threat was emailed to 40 airports across India at approximately 12:40 PM.

In Coimbatore, a bomb threat was received, but flight services were unaffected. A bomb detection and disposal squad (BDDS) team, along with a sniffer dog squad from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), conducted a thorough search and declared the threat a hoax.

A Chennai-Dubai Emirates flight was delayed by about two hours following a bomb threat email received at the airport. The passengers had not yet boarded the plane, which was scheduled to leave at 9:50 AM.

Patna airport also received a threat. The airport director stated that investigations are ongoing and further details are awaited.

Jaipur airport reported receiving a threat as well. Security agencies conducted a thorough investigation, and police stated, “The airport was thoroughly checked, but nothing suspicious has been found so far.”

Vadodara airport heightened security measures after receiving a bomb threat in the afternoon.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely to ensure the safety and security of all passengers and airport personnel.
