Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries, has revealed the most important event in the four-month wedding celebrations for his son, Anant Ambani, and Radhika Merchant. While the wedding was a grand affair, it was the final celebration for Reliance employees and household staff that Mukesh Ambani cherished the most.
The wedding, held on July 12 in Mumbai, concluded a series of extravagant events, including a luxury cruise in the Mediterranean and a three-day party at the Ambani estate in Jamnagar.
The last celebration took place on July 15 at the Jio World Centre. Mukesh Ambani called it the most significant event, emphasizing its importance to him personally. In a viral video, Mukesh Ambani said, “Jai Shree Krishna. Aap sab ka bahut bahut swagat. Ye Anant aur Radhika ka last celebration hai, par mere liye ye most important celebration hai,” which means, “A big welcome to all of you. This is Anant and Radhika’s last celebration. But for me, this is the most important celebration.”

The celebration featured a concert by AR Rahman and performances by other popular artists. Mukesh and Nita Ambani personally greeted each guest, showing their appreciation for the staff and their families who helped make the wedding a success.
The celebrations started with a Lagan Lakhvanu ceremony in February, followed by a three-day event in Jamnagar in March. This was attended by notable guests like Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg. A Mediterranean cruise in late May added to the extravagance, with stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Ranveer Singh onboard.
In the final week before the wedding, events included a sangeet, a mameru ceremony, haldi, mehndi, a mass wedding for the underprivileged, and a garba night, all leading up to the wedding on July 12.
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding was a showcase of luxury and celebration. Mukesh Ambani’s final event for their staff highlighted his commitment to recognizing and valuing the contributions of those who work behind the scenes. This final celebration was a special moment of appreciation and gratitude.
