Popular YouTuber MrBeast and Amazon are facing a class-action lawsuit filed by contestants of the upcoming reality show Beast Games. The lawsuit, filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court on September 16, 2024, accuses them of harassment, unsafe conditions, and mistreatment during the production.

Allegations of Exploitation and Unsafe Conditions

The lawsuit claims that participants in the *Beast Games* reality show, which offered a $5 million prize, were subjected to “chronic mistreatment” and “unsafe conditions.” Contestants allege they were under constant surveillance, denied privacy, and provided insufficient food and rest during the production.

Sexual Harassment and Hostile Environment Claims

Several female contestants have also come forward with accusations of sexual harassment, alleging a “culture of misogyny” on set. They claim that inappropriate behavior was ignored and allowed by the production team.

Lack of Safety and Background Checks

The lawsuit further accuses the production of failing to perform proper background checks, allowing individuals with criminal records to participate in the show, creating an unsafe environment for everyone involved.

Contestants Demand Compensation

The plaintiffs argue they were not volunteers and should have been treated as employees, seeking financial compensation for their work and the conditions they endured. Two female claimants are also asking for additional compensation for the hostile work environment they faced.

No Response From MrBeast or Amazon

While Amazon has declined to comment on the lawsuit, representatives for MrBeast (real name Jimmy Donaldson) have yet to respond to requests from news outlets. MrBeast, the world’s most popular YouTuber with over 300 million subscribers, is accused of being involved in the company behind the show.

This lawsuit has cast a shadow over the much-anticipated *Beast Games* series, raising concerns about the treatment of contestants in large-scale reality TV productions.
