Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, will today dedicate a 108-foot-tall statue of Adi Shankaracharya in Omkareshwar. The Mandhata mountain in Omkareshwar served as the inspiration for Adi Shankaracharya’s statue. Omkareshwar, located on the picturesque Narmada River banks, is about 80 kilometers from the vibrant metropolis of Indore. Anoop Kumar Singh, the Khandwa Collector, claimed that the magnificent multi-metal sculpture had a height of 108 feet and stood on a pedestal that was 54 feet tall.

CM Chouhan said earlier that the statue will be inaugurated with much grandeur and devotion. All prominent seers, who are expected to arrive for the inauguration of the statue, will be accorded a traditional welcome, the CM said.

Shankaracharya Maharaj fought to unite the nation’s cultures. He worked to make the Vedic philosophy more widely known. Additionally, he built four monasteries in different parts of the nation. This helped to maintain India’s cultural unity. India is now united as a result of that.” Though he was born in Kerala, Omkareshwar is where he received his education. He had traversed forests for more than 1600 kilometers. He discovered a Guru there, and after learning from him, he headed in the direction of Kashi (Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh). He continued that the entire nation, which at the time was experiencing a state of cultural disintegration, was totally united.
