A tragic incident occurred on early Monday morning, in Wanapatla village, Nagarkurnool district, where a mother and her three children lost their lives when a mud slab collapsed amid heavy rains at 2 a.m. The bodies have been taken for post-mortem examination, and authorities are yet to register a case in connection with the incident.

“A mother and her three children died after a mud slab collapsed due to the heavy rains at 2 a.m.,” reported Govardhan, Inspector of the Nagarkurnool Police Station.

He further added, “The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, and the case is yet to be registered.”

On June 27, a fatal accident occurred when a car collided with a school bus making a U-turn on the Kamalpur highway, resulting in the death of one person and injuring two others. Police reported that the injured were taken to a nearby hospital for medical care. The deceased has been identified as Abdullah, aged 50.

“A car rammed into the school bus while the bus was taking a U-turn on the Kamalpur highway. Thirty students were travelling in the bus during the accident. Two students received injuries, and one person in the car died,” the police stated.

The police further added, “The school bus belongs to Ekashila School. The driver, Ratnam, was driving the bus towards Kurnool village and was making a U-turn near the Uma Maheshwara Gardens, Kamalpur, when a Swift Dzire car hit the bus, causing it to overturn.”

“The bus was carrying 30 students. Two students sustained injuries. A backseat passenger, Abdullah, 50 years old, died in the incident. A case has been registered,” the police said.
