Year after year, Uttar Pradesh sets new records and strengthens its place on the world tourism map. In 2022, 31.85 crore tourists visited Uttar Pradesh; in the first nine months of 2023, over 32 crore tourists—many of whom were from outside the country—visited the state. Out of all the places in the state, Kashi was the most popular tourist destination; crores of people also arrived in Prayagraj and Ayodhya. In a number of different fields, Uttar Pradesh achieved a noteworthy milestone in 2023. In addition to rising to the top of federal and state welfare programs, the state made significant strides in the tourism industry. Uttar Pradesh saw 31,91,95,206 domestic tourists between January and September of 2023.
