As part of a statewide Cordon and Search Operation (CASO), the Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar Police conducted a search operation in 21 Hot Spot Areas. The operation, led by ADGP Cyber Crime, V. Neerja, and SSP Dr. Sandeep Garg, involved approaching 293 suspicious persons to scrutinize their activities.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Dr. Sandeep Garg, provided additional details, revealing that the search operation was executed by two SP-ranked and six DSP-ranked police officers, leading teams comprising 13 SHOs, six Inspectors of Police, and 297 Police Personnel.
The focus of the operation was to verify the backgrounds and activities of criminals currently out on bail. Three motorbikes were impounded, and a Santro Car yielded 24 liquor bottles, leading to the apprehension of two individuals from Zirakpur. Additionally, 300 grams of Ganja were seized from a person during the operation in Kharar City.
