To facilitate investors interested in their preferred investment destination, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar (Mohali), the District Administration has initiated the development of its land bank, utilizing available land from Panchayats and other departments.

Providing details, Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain highlighted that as the district is highly sought after for investment, the primary requirement is land availability. To address this, the District Administration is creating an inventory of vacant land held by Panchayats and other departments.

During a meeting with ADC (Rural Development) and the District Development and Panchayat Officer at her office, she instructed them to compile a detailed inventory with essential information such as distance from the Airport, existing National Highways, upcoming National Highways, land size, and directions.

Jain emphasized that Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar district comprises four Development blocks—Majri, Mohali, Kharar, and Derabassi—along with 27 villages in Development block Rajpura of Patiala District. The total land currently under lease covers 3800 acres. She emphasized the importance of offering land where revenue generation surpasses existing lease rates.

Once the land bank inventory is prepared, it will be digitized, with sites marked in different colors, creating an authentic database for future investments.

The Deputy Commissioner reiterated that the district administration, in line with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s commitment, is dedicated to supporting investors, ensuring full assistance to enhance Punjab’s progress and generate maximum employment.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Mrs. Sonam Chaudhary and District Development and Panchayat Officer Amaninder Paul Singh Chauhan assured the Deputy Commissioner of promptly preparing the land bank with comprehensive details to make the district more investor-friendly.
