As the electoral fervor intensifies in Jammu and Kashmir, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is gearing up for another significant intervention in the region, this time to spearhead the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) campaigning efforts for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
While the exact dates of his visit are yet to be finalized, this marks Modi’s third foray into Jammu and Kashmir this year alone. Previously, on February 20 and March 7, 2024, Modi addressed rallies in Jammu and Srinagar, setting the tone for the party’s electoral narrative.
Sources close to The Daily Gazette (TDG) revealed that in preparation for the imminent Lok Sabha polls in Jammu and Kashmir, the BJP has unveiled an expansive campaign blueprint, marshaling the support of 40 leaders encompassing a mix of national stalwarts and local luminaries.

Among the prominent figures slated to headline the campaign are Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself, BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, and Home Minister Amit Shah. Additionally, the roster boasts the participation of eminent personalities including National Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Minister Anurag Thakur, among others.

With a strategic blend of seasoned politicians and emerging leaders, the BJP aims to resonate with diverse voter segments, encompassing both national and regional appeal. Noteworthy additions to the campaign lineup include Jairam Thakur, Sunil Jakhar, Smriti Irani, Bhajan Lal Sharma, Pushkar Singh Dhami, and Tarun Chugh, underlining the party’s concerted effort to forge a formidable electoral front.

Furthermore, the campaign roster features several regional luminaries, including Ravindra Raina, Dr. Jitendra Singh, Jugal Kishore Sharma, and Abdul Ghani Kohli, amplifying the BJP’s outreach within local constituencies.Reports indicate that this meticulously curated campaign strategy has been formally communicated to the Election Commission of India by Arun Singh, the BJP’s National General Secretary and in-charge of Headquarters. With stalwarts like Dr. Jitendra Singh and Jugal Kishore Sharma leading the charge, the stage is set for a fiercely contested electoral battle in April, when elections are scheduled to transpire in the Udhampur and Jammu parliamentary constituencies.
