Taking a jibe at Congress, and Aam Aadmi Party, recalling emergency days and drug menace, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced visiting back Punjab shortly which was halted a few days ago. PM Modi addressed the first virtual Rally in Punjab in Fatehgarh Sahib and Ludhiana parliamentary constituencies.
“We got the guilty of Genocides punished,” said PM Modi while attacking the Congress Party as an age-old party who was indulged in the massacre of Sikhs.
“We will develop the area near the frontiers and for this, we will constitute Border Area Development Authority. We have the plan to spend 1 lakh crore on this project in the next five years,” said PM Modi.
“They could not keep Kartarpur Sahib in India and we opened the way of Kartarpur,” he attacked Congress. He added further: “For some parties, Punjab is just an opportunity to govern, power the people of Punjab.” Prime minister asked Punjabis whether the previous government had done anything for Punjab, especially for farmers.
While coming on drug menace, PM Modi again attacked the different contesting parties, especially AAP, and said, “Be cautious of people who made emotional speeches on drug issues, they had brought this drug disease to Delhi despite helping people draw out of it.” Attacking opposition further, “These parties do not have a plan for farmers to take them out of debt, barren land, cancer giving water.”
PM Modi said that the BJP and NDA alliance has always been standing with the Sikh traditions and can take them forward with right and pious intentions. BJP NDA alliance has a vision of Nawan Punjab and Punjab does not need hollow promises of some new parties.
In a veiled attack on AAP, PM Modi said, “Punjab need modernization at every level, which is beyond the vision and capability of Congress and people who wish to convert Delhi into Jhuggi Jhopdi could not able to do this.”
The BJP is fighting the state assembly polls in alliance with the Amarinder Singh-led Punjab Lok Congress and the Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa-led Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt).
