Neeraj Sharma, the legislator from NIT Faridabad, has requested Speaker Gyan Chand Gupta not to wear any black clothes. He clarified that his attire bears no offensive words; it only displays the name of Lord Siyaram, the symbol of Sanatan (Swastika), couplets of Tulsidas Ji, and images depicting the issues of the assembly. Hence, he urged the Speaker to grant him personal time for a meeting and to inspect his attire with the assembly’s experts.

He expressed his desire to avoid a repetition of what happened on Republic Day in Panipat. The complaint was sent via letter number 141 dated 28/01/2024. He emphasized that he is waiting for the assembly session and hopes that the police will not misbehave with him when he arrives since he is the voice of the people, and it is the duty of the assembly to protect the interests of the legislator.

Legislator Neeraj Sharma mentioned that he is awaiting the assembly chairman’s summons to meet with the team of assembly specialists. He stated that only after meeting with the assembly chairman and the team of specialists will he decide on the course of action.
