Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s benevolent initiative to organise a pilgrimage for the people of Punjab has proven to be a boon for those who have a deep desire for a pilgrimage but were hindered by various constraints, stated MLA Kulwant Singh Mohali on Tuesday.
He flagged off the fifth batch of pilgrims from the SAS Nagar district as part of the Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra. The fifth batch embarked on a pilgrimage to Salasar Dham-KhatuShyam Dham. Mohali emphasized that the Bhagwant Mann Government in Punjab honors the religious sentiments of all citizens, and the Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra aims to provide equal opportunities for everyone to visit their holy places. The Punjab Government has provided air-conditioned buses, covering all boarding and lodging expenses. Each pilgrim has been given a separate kit comprising a blanket, a bed sheet, a pillow, and toiletry items.
Mohali extended his best wishes to the pilgrims for a smooth pilgrimage, highlighting that arrangements for night halting have been made at Salasar. Additionally, special provisions have been organized to address medical emergencies in coordination with the Health Department of Punjab.
SDM Mohali, Chandrajyoti Singb, added that the district administration is overseeing all arrangements to ensure that the pilgrims do not encounter any problems during their travel.
As the pilgrims boarded the bus, they expressed gratitude to the Punjab Chief Minister, stating that the efforts made by the Punjab Government to facilitate their pilgrimage to religious places are worth emulating. They consistently praise the government for these commendable initiatives.
