On Thursday, legislator Kulwant Singh set the pace for development projects in Sector 71 by initiating work in Kargil Park. Councilor Sarabjit Singh Samana and MLA Kulwant Singh inaugurated the development projects worth Rs 4.93 million in Kargil Park within the ward. The undertaken initiatives by MLA Kulwant Singh include repairing footpaths, converting raw tracks into paved pathways in Kargil Park, renovating tiles, and establishing a yoga shed. Speaking at the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh mentioned that neglected fountains in Kargil Park would also be repaired, and additional grass would be planted in the park. He assured that all necessary facilities would be made available in the park.

Furniture worth Rs 1.488 million has been purchased and allocated to the library situated in this park, MLA Kulwant Singh informed. Speaking on the occasion, the local legislator expressed his commitment to providing enhanced facilities to the residents of SAS Nagar city and beautifying the city further. It is noteworthy that today, Mohali legislator conducted an inspection of Kargil Park along with officials from various departments and also sought input from the local residents regarding the essential needs related to the park. MLA Kulwant Singh emphasized that there would be no shortage of funds for development projects in the Aam Aadmi Party government, and the ongoing work would be completed on time, as directed to the relevant officials.

MLA Kulwant Singh stated that the government in Punjab, led by the Aam Aadmi Party and under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, was chosen based on the aspirations and dreams of the people. The government is dedicated to resolving issues effectively and is continuously striving to improve education and health standards in Punjab. He announced the commencement of development projects dedicated to the martyrs of Kargil in Ward 71, and a library has been inaugurated in response to the long-standing demand. Residents of Sector 71 expressed their satisfaction, stating that the library’s opening would not only benefit the elderly but also provide significant relief and convenience to the younger generation, who previously had to travel to the library in Phase 7.
