MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa on Tuesday visited various fodder markets of Derabassi area and took stock of the procurement operations.
After reviewing paddy procurement in Lalru, Dhanoni, Jaraut, Simbli and Samgauli, he said that the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann will not allow any difficulty in the paddy procurement season. He said that the reason for the delay in procurement is the central agencies not lifting the stock from the grain warehouses on time, for which the government is trying to empty the warehouses on time by talking to the central government.
MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa said that no problem will be allowed during the procurement season and he is constantly coordinating with the officials of the administrative and procurement agencies. He said that the priority of the government has always been farmers and laborers, so no one will be allowed to face any problem.
He said that the government has held meetings with farmers, tenants and rice millers and assured them of full protection of their interests, which will be fulfilled with full commitment.
He appealed to the farmers not to burn the stubble (straw) left in the fields during the harvesting of cumin and cooperate in the efforts being made by the government and administration by saving it through machinery so that the environment and land can be kept safe. Can be kept safe
