Popular television actor Gurucharan Singh, best known for his portrayal of Sodhi in the hit series Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has gone missing, sparking concerns among fans and well-wishers. According to NDTV’s report, Delhi Police’s initial investigation suggests that Singh, who was soon to be married, was grappling with financial difficulties.
Police sources revealed that Singh withdrew Rs. 7,000 from an ATM in Delhi and was last spotted in Palam on April 24, carrying a backpack. Despite his flight being scheduled for Mumbai on April 22, he was seen at a traffic intersection in Palam around 9:14 pm on the same day, as per officials.
Singh’s father filed a complaint with the Delhi Police, expressing deep distress over his son’s sudden disappearance. Rohit Meena, DCP South West Delhi, stated, “Gurucharan’s family registered a complaint that he has been missing since April 22. He was supposed to go to Mumbai, but he didn’t.” A case has been registered under Section 365 of the IPC, and authorities are diligently investigating the matter.
Despite assurances of a thorough investigation, Singh, aged 50, remains unreachable, causing further worry for his family. His father emphasized that Singh was not facing any mental distress, leaving his disappearance unexplained.
