In the capital city of Jaipur, a case of gang rape involving a minor girl has come to light. The girl was lured to her neighbour’s house by her uncle and cousin under the pretext of work and was given a drugged cold drink. In an unconscious state, both the accused carried out the gang rape. During this incident, the perpetrators also recorded explicit videos of her on a mobile phone.
Upon regaining consciousness, when the victim resisted, the accused threatened to viral the explicit video. After managing to escape the clutches of the perpetrators and returning home, the minor victim attempted suicide. The mother of the victim has filed a gang rape case against the accused uncle and cousin at the Bhatta Basti police station. The police have registered the case and initiated an investigation.
The police revealed that a woman residing in the Bhatta Basti area has filed a report. In her complaint, she mentioned that for the past four years, the accused neighbour had been in conversation with her minor daughter. The allegation is that on November 1, 2023, the accused neighbour called the minor daughter under the pretext of her sister having some work.
Around 7 pm, when the minor daughter went to the neighbour’s house, she met the neighbour’s cousin there. Upon inquiring about her sister, she was asked to wait for a while, citing that her sister would be back soon with some work. After some time, the accused neighbour’s cousin came home with food and a cold drink.
The accused uncle and cousin offered the minor girl a cold drink to consume. Due to the presence of drugs in the cold drink, the minor girl became unconscious after consuming it. While she was unconscious, the accused uncle and cousin subjected her to gang rape.
During this, the perpetrators also recorded explicit videos of her on a mobile phone. Upon regaining consciousness, when the victim resisted, the explicit video was shown to her, and she was silenced. After escaping the clutches of the perpetrators and returning home, the minor victim attempted suicide.
Upon questioning by her family members, the victim revealed the actions of the accused uncle and cousin. Fearing defamation, the family initially remained silent. The accused then sold the explicit video of the minor to another person, which went viral.
Upon learning about the video going viral and the subsequent defamation, the victim’s family approached the police.
Subsequently, the mother of the victim filed a report against the accused uncle and cousin at the Bhatta Basti police station. The police have initiated an investigation into the gang rape case, invoking the POCSO Act and IT Act against the accused.
