Union Minister Kiren Rijiju on Tuesday lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for completing 100 days of his third term in office, highlighting that development works worth ₹15 lakh crore have been accomplished during this period.

Speaking to the media, Rijiju said, “Today is PM Modi’s birthday, and we are reaching out to the public to inform them about the achievements of the government in its first 100 days. Before the elections, PM Modi had set a clear agenda, and we’ve successfully implemented it.”

The government’s focus in this tenure

Rijiju emphasized the government’s focus on benefiting all sections of society, adding that PM Modi’s first decision after taking office was aimed at improving the lives of farmers. He also criticized the Congress, claiming the opposition party failed to achieve in 60 years what the Modi administration has done in just 100 days. “Congress has no understanding of the nation. When they were in power, they only appeased minorities for votes,” he remarked.

The Modi government’s 100-day milestones include significant reforms in sectors such as justice, disaster management, science, technology, and energy. Special initiatives for youth and women were also prioritized. According to government sources, key measures include a ₹2 lakh crore package to promote employment and skill development for young people and the formation of over 90 lakh self-help groups under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana—National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM), benefiting 10 crore women by promoting financial inclusion and digital literacy.

As PM Modi celebrates his 74th birthday, senior leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party, including party president JP Nadda, have extended their wishes and acknowledged the government’s recent accomplishments.
