UAE Reaffirms Strong Support for Syria’s Stability and Unity

During a high-level meeting in Abu Dhabi, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed the nation's firm support for Syria’s aspirations for peace, stability, and progress.

UAE Reaffirms Strong Support for Syria’s Stability and Unity

In a significant diplomatic meeting held at Qasr Al Shati, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed Syrian President Ahmad Al-Sharaa, who is on a working visit to the Emirates. The leaders held talks on strengthening bilateral relations and deepening cooperation across key areas for the benefit of both nations.

President Zayed extended warm wishes to President Al-Sharaa, expressing hope for his success in guiding Syria towards peace, development, and national unity. Their discussions focused on regional and international developments, as well as the current situation in Syria.

Strong UAE Commitment to Syrian People

President Zayed reiterated the UAE’s unwavering support for Syria’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. He stressed that the UAE is fully committed to assisting Syria in its journey through the transitional phase, supporting efforts to rebuild the country in line with the hopes of the Syrian people for a secure and prosperous future.

“Syria’s stability is vital to the security of the region,” the UAE President stated, affirming the UAE’s readiness to extend all necessary support.

Warm Welcome in Abu Dhabi

Earlier, President Ahmad Al-Sharaa was received at Al Bateen Airport by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, along with senior UAE officials.

The high-level meeting was also attended by several key UAE leaders including:

  • Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan
  • Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan
  • Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan
  • Dr. Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Advisor to the UAE President
  • Reem al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation
  • Mohamed bin Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Defence Affairs
  • And other senior officials.

President Al-Sharaa was accompanied by Asaad Al-Shibani and other Syrian delegates.
