Tel Aviv, January 18: A violent incident unfolded in Tel Aviv on Saturday, leaving multiple people injured in a shooting and one man wounded in a stabbing. The events occurred on Levontin Street in the city’s commercial hub, Israeli police confirmed.
Authorities reported that several injuries were sustained in the shooting. Emergency service provider Magen David Adom stated that their team treated a 30-year-old man who was stabbed during the incident.
“There are injuries at the scene, and at this stage, large police forces are on their way to the location. The circumstances are currently unclear,” the Israeli police said in an official statement.
The attack comes just a day before a ceasefire is scheduled to take effect in Gaza, adding to tensions in the region. While the motive and the connection to the broader conflict are yet to be determined, security forces are actively investigating.
Medical teams were promptly dispatched to the scene to provide aid to the victims. Further details on the condition of those injured are awaited as the situation continues to evolve.
