Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to undergo prostate removal surgery on Sunday, following a diagnosis of a urinary tract infection. The infection, linked to a benign prostate enlargement, was discovered after Netanyahu underwent a test at Hadassah Hospital on Wednesday.
This surgery comes at a time when Israel is engaged in an ongoing conflict with Hamas in Gaza, over a year after their unprecedented attack on Israel on October 7 last year.
Netanyahu, who previously underwent hernia surgery in March, had a pacemaker implanted last July following a medical scare.
