Meghan Markle to Be Privately Honored on Her Birthday by King Charles and Queen Camilla

According to a former royal butler, Meghan Markle is expected to receive a private birthday tribute from King Charles and Queen Camilla as she turns 43 on August 4. Despite the well-publicized tensions within the royal family, it appears that the monarch and his consort might mark the Duchess of Sussex’s special day with a personal acknowledgment.

Harry is reportedly determined to ensure Meghan is celebrated, even though the royal family did not publicly recognize her 42nd birthday last year. This year could see an effort to mend fences. Former royal butler Grant Harrold suggested that while the public recognition might be limited, Meghan could still receive messages from the King and Queen. “Harry will make sure that Meghan is celebrated. I think they will get messages from the King and the Queen,” Harrold told OK Magazine, indicating that these messages might come via email or traditional mail.

Harrold noted that the tradition of sending birthday wishes has persisted despite the growing rift between the families. Previously, both the Queen and King, along with the Prince and Princess of Wales, would post birthday greetings for Meghan on social media. However, this practice stopped in 2023, leading to speculation that private wishes might have been extended instead.

Regarding public acknowledgments on social media, Harrold expressed doubt that any such posts would occur, given the current focus on working royals. He also mentioned that while a gift might be sent, it is uncertain. In more amicable times, a piece of jewelry or an item from the royal collection, possibly a hand-me-down from the late Queen, might have been appropriate.
