Massive Turnout At Nushki Rally Highlights Baloch Solidarity Against State Oppression

In a recent post on the social media platform X, the Baloch Yakjehti Committee highlighted the significant turnout at the Baloch Solidarity Committee’s rally in Nushki. The event, which saw a considerable number of women attending, brought together thousands of participants to express their unity in opposition to state oppression.

Baloch Yakjehti Committee stated, “At the Baloch Solidarity Committee’s rally in Nushki, thousands of people, including women, participated. The attendees took an oath to stand in solidarity against the state’s oppression and tyranny. The rally paid tribute to all the martyrs, including Shaheed Hamdan Badini. In this successful rally, thousands of people from Nushki, Rakhshan, and other areas expressed their support”.

The Baloch Yakjehti Committee emphasised that the Baloch Solidarity Committee’s rally in Nushki was a major event in the ongoing fight for Baloch rights and autonomy. This rally is part of a broader trend of activism in Balochistan, where demands for increased autonomy, cultural preservation, and resistance against state marginalisation and violence are widespread. The large turnout and unified opposition to state oppression highlight the enduring discontent and the Baloch community’s resolve to confront their issues, with strong support from areas like Nushki and Rakhshan.

Human rights violations in Balochistan have been a pressing issue for years, affecting various aspects of the region’s population. Reports frequently document cases where activists, political leaders, and students have been forcibly disappeared by state security forces, leaving families without information about their loved ones’ locations or well-being. This practice fosters fear and instability within communities and damages trust in state institutions. There are also allegations of extrajudicial killings, where individuals are reportedly executed by security forces without trial or legal process, often in connection with accusations of insurgency or activism. These actions contribute to an atmosphere of fear and repression and undermine the rule of law.

Activists, journalists, and civilians have experienced arbitrary arrests and extended detentions without formal charges, particularly those who criticize government policies or advocate for Baloch rights. Extensive military operations in Balochistan have triggered violent confrontations between security forces and insurgent groups, leading to civilian casualties and significant displacement. These operations worsen humanitarian crises by displacing communities and damaging infrastructure.
