Pro-Palestine protesters disrupted a Democratic after-party in Harlem, Manhattan, following a campaign event for Vice President Kamala Harris. The chaos unfolded at a restaurant hosting the gathering, where protesters set off smoke bombs, leading to significant disorder.

The New York Police Department responded swiftly, making multiple arrests as videos on social media captured confrontations between protesters and law enforcement outside the venue. Authorities are working to clear the area and restore order.

The after-party was attended by a range of prominent Democrats, including City Council Members Pierina Sanchez, Shaun Abreu, Keith Powers, Julie Menin, Gale Brewer, and Diana Ayala. Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez and Assembly Members Yudelka Tapia and David Weprin were also present.

Before the disruption, protesters had assembled behind barricades, vocally opposing President Joe Biden’s support of Israel amid its ongoing conflict with Hamas.
