The Houthi group in Yemen fired a series of rockets overnight targeting multiple locations in Israel and a US aircraft carrier, according to the group’s spokesperson. Yahya Sarea, a military spokesperson for the Houthis, confirmed the attacks in a statement aired by the Houthi-run al-Masirah TV on Tuesday.

First was the attack against Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv using hypersonic ballistic missile, while the second fell a power station down south of Jerusalem. The Israelis told the press that both had landed over Tel Aviv and Jerusalem where debris filled up the streets according to some released footage.

They further claimed successful rocket and drone attacks on a US aircraft carrier called USS Harry Truman. As part of increasing Houthi military operations within the region, this attack would fall into pattern.

Late Monday, US-led naval forces conducted two airstrikes on Houthi targets in the At-Tuhayta district of southern Hodeidah province, Yemen, according to al-Masirah TV. However, the US military has yet to comment on the incident.

The Houthi group, which controls much of northern Yemen, has been increasingly targeting Israeli-linked shipping in the Red Sea and has ramped up rocket and drone strikes against US military assets in the region since November 2023. These actions are framed as expressions of solidarity with Palestinians amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict.
