The European Union (EU) has reportedly warned its 450 million citizens to prepare for a possible World War-like situation following a deadly Russian missile strike on the Ukrainian city of Sumy. According to the Associated Press, the EU has urged people across the bloc’s 27 countries to stockpile food, water, and other essentials to last at least 72 hours.

NATO Warns of Russian Threat by 2030

NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte warned that Russia could launch another major attack on European soil by 2030. Speaking in Warsaw, Rutte said, “If anyone were to miscalculate and think they can get away with an attack on Poland or any other ally, they would be met with the full force of this fierce alliance. Our reaction will be devastating.”

Kremlin Fires Missiles from Ufa Submarine

The Kremlin confirmed that its Ufa attack submarine fired cruise missiles from the Sea of Japan. Russian state media claimed that the missiles hit a land target over 620 miles away in the Khabarovsk region and a naval target. This strike raised tensions across Europe, leading to heightened concerns of a possible escalation.

Ukraine Accuses Russia of Manipulation

Reacting to the missile strike, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accused Russia of “manipulations and threats.” He said, “We don’t believe them. The world really doesn’t believe Russia. Unfortunately, even now, on the very day of negotiations, we see how the Russians have already begun to manipulate.”

Preparedness and Crisis Management Commissioner Hadja Lahbib emphasized that “threats facing Europe are more complex than ever.” She warned that Russia’s shift to a wartime economy would significantly enhance its military capabilities and pose a major threat to global stability.
