No matter where you are in the world, cocktails are the heartbeat of any celebration. With new trends constantly emerging, it’s not surprising to see cocktails getting a fresh twist. A recent video that has gone viral showcases a unique watermelon cocktail being served in an extraordinarily large glass. When we say large, we mean truly immense, setting a new standard for size.

The viral Instagram video, posted by Sergio from Mexico, features a creative combination of two popular Mexican recipes — Agua De Sandia, a favorite watermelon water drink, and Sandia Loca, also known as ‘crazy watermelon’ snack.

Sergio starts by grating the skin of a whole watermelon. He then cuts the watermelon rinds into small cubes, adding them to a pot with a flavored drink mix of powder and water, and lets it boil for a while. Next, he blends the watermelon to make the juice.

And now for the exciting part: Sergio brings out his oversized glass and fills it with ice cubes. He then adds watermelon juice, apple cocktail, orange wine, white rum, and some vodka. The boiled watermelon rind mixture is drained into the glass. A sprinkle of spices completes the drink, making it the star of any party. Sergio named this delightful cocktail – Agua loca de sandía.

Since hitting the internet, Sergio’s watermelon magic cocktail has soared in popularity, amassing over 36.2 million views. The comment section is buzzing with a mix of humor and admiration.

One user jokingly wrote, “Usually I get mad that they’re wasting alcohol but I know this dude is drinking all of that.”

Another quipped, “Officer I don’t get why You pulled me over I only had one drink tonight.”

“Kinda mad I didn’t buy that large wine glass at Costco when they were selling it last year,” someone lamented.

Another added, “Such a big glass. Fill it up, my brother! So much wasted space!”

Praising Sergio, one commenter wrote, “This man could pour me a glass of motor oil and I would drink it like it’s the best thing I have ever tasted.”

Another comment read, “The cheese grater is def giving the main character energy.”

An individual jokingly queried, “I wonder how wasted you would be if that were filled to the top.”

Sergio’s drink has truly amazed people. Will you dare to try his unique concoction?
