Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president and former Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, Mehbooba Mufti,  on Tuesday, urging the populace to register their response to New Delhi’s actions in the region post August 2019 through the upcoming elections.
Kickstarting her election campaign in the southern district of Pulwama, Mehbooba Mufti rallied the people of Jammu and Kashmir to express their discontent with the decisions taken by New Delhi by exercising their voting rights.

“This election transcends mere political aspirations. It is an opportunity for the people of Jammu and Kashmir to unequivocally convey their rejection of the decisions imposed upon us by New Delhi since August 2019. Our voices must resonate in the corridors of power,” stated Mehbooba Mufti, emphasizing the significance of the electoral process in conveying the grievances of the region’s populace.

Addressing the youth specifically, Mufti underscored the importance of supporting PDP’s candidate for the Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency, highlighting the candidate as a potential advocate for the region’s concerns within the Parliament.

“Our candidate symbolizes the challenges faced by Kashmiri youth under the heavy-handed policies of New Delhi. He has endured detention and pressure tactics, embodying the struggle of our people. I urge all of you to rally behind our candidate and ensure a resolute voice represents us in the Parliament,” remarked Mehbooba Mufti, endorsing party youth leader Waheed Parra as a beacon for the aspirations of Kashmiri youth.
