TAMIL NADU GOVT TAKES OVER RAJAH MUTHIAH MEDICAL COLLEGE

The Tamil Nadu government has made a momentous decision of taking over Rajah Muthiah Medical College under the aegis of the Department of Health and Family Welfare and affiliated to Dr MGR Medical University. This move by the Tamil Nadu Government has been considered as a great effort in favour of Rajah Muthiah Medical College in Chidambaram. It was announced during the budget speech last year by Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam that the medical college would be taken over by the government. Now, the college, which was previously under Annamalai University, is most likely to be affiliated with Dr MGR Medical University. The government has also issued an order regarding this.
