The alcohol sale in Delhi will be restricted for three days ahead of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections. The dry days will start from Friday.

Meanwhile, from 5.30 PM on Friday the ban will be imposed on the same day the civic polls campaign ends till 4 December.

Moreover, the voting will take place on 4 December and the ban will be imposed again on 7 December.

The Excise department issued an official statement and said, “On account of the MCD Election in the NCT of Delhi from 17:30 Hours of December 2, 2022 (Friday) to December 4 2022 up to 17:30 Hours (Sunday) and From 00:00 Hours to 24:00 Hours on December 7, 2022 (Wednesday) shall be observed as dry days.”

However, for the MCD elections, the campaigning will end on Friday (today) and all political parties will be making their last-ditch campaigning effort.

Currently, BJP holds the reins of the civic bodies in the national capital and the election will take place at the 250-ward Municipal Corporation of Delhi.
