Mayor Kulbhushan Goyal of the Municipal Corporation Panchkula expressed appreciation for the Union Budget. The budget outlines plans to offer housing to an additional two crore individuals, building upon the three crore homes already provided to the underprivileged.
Modi government remains committed to ensuring every impoverished person has a home, having already allocated two crore houses and nearing the goal of four crore. Finance Minister Sitharaman highlighted that 70 percent of these homes have been allotted to women.

Additionally, one crore people are set to receive 100 units of free solar electricity, aligning with the government’s aim to elevate three crore women to the status of Lakhpati Didi under the concept of Ram Rajya.

The budget extends the reach of Ayushman Bharat, now including Anganwadi and Asha workers in its benefits. The commitment to constructing three rail corridors and manufacturing 40 thousand Vande Bharat level railway coaches is also outlined.
Mayor Kulbhushan Goyal specifically mentioned the proposed housing scheme for those residing in slums and illegal colonies, anticipating substantial benefits for thousands in Panchkula.
