In a recent Fox News interview, Maye Musk, mother of tech billionaire Elon Musk, encouraged female voters to think independently and avoid being “brainwashed.” The 76-year-old model and dietitian, who previously identified as a Democrat, explained her shift to the Republican Party, citing concerns over government influence on social media.

During her appearance on Laura Ingraham’s show, Maye expressed her belief in women’s intelligence, stating, “Don’t be brainwashed, and think for yourself, and think for a better future.” She acknowledged her past misconceptions, admitting, “I have to say I was brainwashed, and so many women are brainwashed.”

Maye revealed that her political realignment was sparked by her son Elon’s acquisition of Twitter and the subsequent release of the “Twitter Files,” which alleged government agencies paid Twitter to suppress Republican voices. She criticized this practice as “the most dishonest thing to do” and stated, “There was so much corruption in the Twitter Files that I was horrified, and I said I cannot be part of the Democratic Party because you cannot trust anything.”

In the same interview, she responded to criticism of her son, particularly comments made by Tim Walz regarding Elon’s understanding of American hardships. Maye dismissed Walz’s remarks, stating, “He isn’t a pleasant man, he’s not very bright, and he’s quite silly.” She expressed confidence in Elon’s potential to positively impact America, likening his contributions to those made through his ventures with Tesla, SpaceX, and Twitter, now rebranded as X.

As the political landscape continues to evolve, Maye Musk’s comments resonate as a call for independent thought among female voters.
