Haryana Assembly Speaker Gyan Chand Gupta inaugurated two food vans at Shri Mata Mansa Devi Temple to cater to the needs of the people. These food vans were generously provided by Gyan Chand Gupta from his voluntary fund to the Mata Mansa Devi Sevak Dal Charitable and Bhandara Committee (in front of VIP lift). Gyanchand Gupta was welcomed by Principal Kishori Lal Bansal, General Secretary Siddharth Gupta, Joint Secretary Sanjay Gupta, and Executive Member Sandeep Gupta during the event.
Officials informed Gyan Chand Gupta that the Mata Mansa Devi Sevak Dal Charitable and Bhandara Committee has been organizing free Bhandara for Mahamai for the past 50 years. The committee serves free lunch and evening meals to over 1200 people daily at Civil Hospital Sector 6, Panchkula. Additionally, arrangements are made for free meals twice a day at Saket Hospital. The committee also assists with cremation services at the cremation ground in Sector 25, Chandigarh, and provides food to the needy in Chandigarh, Panchkula, and Mohali through four food vans.
Principal Kishori Lal Bansal highlighted that even during the challenging times of the pandemic, with the support of the administration, Shri Mata Mansa Devi Sevak Dal Charitable and Bhandara Committee provided food to 5000 people.
Assembly Speaker Gyan Chand Gupta commended the committee’s praiseworthy efforts in offering food to the people and expressed his happiness over the addition of two more food vans. He urged the committee to continue delivering food to those in need. As part of the event, blankets and socks were distributed to the underprivileged on behalf of Mata Mansa Devi Sevak Dal Charitable and Bhandara Committee.
