Maruti Suzuki India has reported its highest-ever monthly sales, achieving a remarkable total of 206,434 units in October. This record includes domestic sales of 163,130 units, sales to other original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) totaling 10,136 units, and an unprecedented 33,168 units exported, marking the highest monthly exports in the company’s history.

Strong Festive Demand Drives Sales Growth

The surge in sales during the festive season, combined with significant discounts offered by various automakers, has contributed to the increased vehicle sales for dealers this October. The total sales for the month reflect a 3.6% year-on-year increase. For the fiscal year 2024-25, spanning from April to October, total sales have risen by 1.64% compared to the previous year.

Exports have also seen substantial growth, with shipments in October and from April to October rising by 51% and 17%, respectively, year-on-year. In the fiscal year 2023-24, Maruti Suzuki exported over 280,000 units to more than 100 countries, maintaining a dominant 42% share in India’s passenger vehicle exports.

Milestone Achievements at Manesar Facility

In related news, Maruti Suzuki’s Manesar facility has reached a significant milestone by surpassing the 1 crore cumulative production mark. This achievement, reached in just 18 years, makes it the fastest among Suzuki’s global automobile manufacturing facilities to do so. The Manesar plant, which began operations in October 2006 and spans 600 acres, produces various models, including the Brezza, Ertiga, XL6, Ciaz, Dzire, Wagon R, S-Presso, and Celerio, catering to both domestic and international markets. The facility has also exported vehicles to regions including Latin America, the Middle East, Africa, and neighboring Asian countries.

Since its establishment, Maruti Suzuki has produced over 31 million vehicles, reinforcing its leadership position in the Indian automotive industry. Additionally, the company has commenced exports of its popular ‘Made-in-India’ SUV, the Fronx.
