The social media platform is flooded with disturbing images as netizens shared clips and pictures of a 20-year-old man who was stabbed on the streets of northeast Delhi on Thursday.
The sufferer, who had multiple injuries, was brought to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital (GTB) before being moved to AIIMS’s trauma centre for further treatment. The accused in the case has been arrested, according to police.
The Nand Nagri area police received a call at 10.40 p.m. on Thursday, according to Additional DCP Sandhya Swami. The caller said their brother had been attacked with a knife and was being treated at GTB Hospital.
A video showed Kasim, the victim, lying motionless on the street in Delhi’s Nand Nagri after the attacker, identified as 22-year-old Sohaib, stabbed him. The terrible images of the attack were not included by Hindustan Times.
No one dared to intervene during the incident as the accused stabbed the victim and threatened him. However, just after the accused had fled the scene, a woman rushed to the victim, begging for aid. She was able to rally passersby to help the victim.
The victim had incised wounds on his left arm, left foot, and right foot, as well as abrasions on the right side of his face, according to the hospital’s Medico Legal Case (MLC) report. He was tired and unable to provide a statement on the occurrence.
According to the authorities, the incident was the result of a previous feud between Kasim and Sohaib that occurred two years ago. Kasim had punched Sohaib in the face at the time, injuring his eye and nose. Sohaib, still enraged by the episode, sought vengeance by hitting Kasim.
