MUMBAI: In an unfortunate incident during a flight from Pune to Nagpur on Monday, Maharashtra police have apprehended a 32-year-old engineer, Firoz Sheikh Noor Mohammad Sheikh, for molesting a fellow passenger. The 40-year-old female victim, seated next to him, reported that Sheikh made lewd gestures and sexually assaulted her while the plane was landing at Nagpur airport. The woman immediately informed the flight staff, and upon landing, she filed a formal complaint at Sonegaon police station. Sheikh faces charges of outraging a woman’s modesty, sexual harassment, and insult. He is now in police custody.
