A 24-year-old individual was apprehended for impersonating a pilot with Singapore Airlines in front of CISF personnel, responsible for airport security nationwide. The person, caught for forgery, was found loitering in the Metro Skywalk area of Delhi airport wearing a Singapore Airlines pilot uniform with a fake ID around his neck. Upon interrogation, the imposter was identified as Sangeet Singh from Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh.

He possessed a Singapore Airlines ID for in-flight operations, later confirmed to be counterfeit. Investigation revealed that the 24-year-old created the fake ID using the online app Business Card Maker and purchased the uniform and accessories from Pilot 18, Sector 9, Dwarka, Delhi. Further inquiry uncovered that the imposter completed a one-year Aviation Hospitality course in Mumbai in 2020 but deceived his family and acquaintances by claiming to have secured a pilot job with Singapore Airlines.

The accused has been apprehended, and a case has been registered against him under IPC sections 420, 468, and 471. Further details are awaited.
