Lena confirmed that the marriage took place on January 17, 2024, marking her second marriage. She shared a video on social media expressing pride in her husband’s achievement, as Prime Minister Modi awarded the first Indian astronaut wings to Captain Prasanth Balakrishnan Nair on February 27, 2024. In the video, Lena and Captain Prasanth are seen in traditional attire, adorned with garlands, alongside their family members.

Earlier, PM Modi had unveiled the names of the four astronaut designates, including Captain Prasanth Nair, who are currently undergoing training for the Gaganyaan mission. The other selected Indian Air Force pilots are Group Captain Ajit Krishnan, Group Captain Angad Pratap, and Wing Commander Shubhanshu Shukla. These astronauts underwent training at the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center in Russia.

During his visit to Kerala, PM Modi reviewed the progress of the Gaganyaan mission and conferred ‘astronaut wings’ on the selected pilots at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre. The Gaganyaan mission, India’s first human space flight program, is currently in advanced stages of preparation at various ISRO centers.
