In a commendable and timely operation, security forces have thwarted a potential tragedy by uncovering a cache of explosive materials and ammunition, including four Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) cleverly concealed in a tiffin box. The operation unfolded in the Manjakot area of Rajouri district, Jammu and Kashmir, during a meticulously executed search operation at Hayatpur-Manjakot at 0630 hours on Thursday.
According to sources, a joint search operation was carried out by CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police in Hayatpura village, Manjakote area of Rajouri district. The forces successfully dismantled a terrorist hideout, recovering one wireless set, one tape recorder, 23 live rounds of AK ammunition, and four tiffin box IEDs.
This marks the fourth incident in a series of successful operations by security forces since December, underscoring their heightened vigilance and proactive measures to neutralize potential threats. Previous operations resulted in the arrest of alleged terrorist associates, along with the recovery of arms, ammunition, and incriminating materials from various locations in Rajouri, Pulwama, and north Kashmir.
