Jammu, Nov 14: In a sweeping reshuffle aimed at reinforcing security measures across Jammu and Kashmir, the government on Thursday issued new postings for Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) across ten districts, with particular attention to areas impacted by recent terror incidents. The move is part of an intensified approach to tackle terrorism and boost law enforcement capabilities in high-risk regions.

Key appointments were made in *Kishtwar, **Ganderbal, and **Baramulla* — districts that have recently witnessed terror incidents. In Kishtwar, *Javed Iqbal* has been appointed as the new SSP, bringing his expertise to a district long targeted by militant activities. *Raghav S., who previously served as Additional SP Budgam, takes charge as SSP in Ganderbal, where a recent attack on a construction company camp tragically claimed the lives of seven non-local workers, including a local doctor. In Baramulla, **Gurinder Pal Singh* assumes the role of SSP, tasked with addressing ongoing security threats in the region, including the Gulmarg area where a deadly ambush on an Army vehicle resulted in the martyrdom of four Army personnel, including two porters.
