The triumvirate alliance comprising the BJP, Shiv Sena (led by Eknath Shinde), and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP-Ajit Pawar) initiated its campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls in Maharashtra. The coalition leaders announced joint rallies across all districts on January 14, aiming to unite workers from all three political entities.
State BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule, addressing a collective press conference, declared, “We have opted to conduct joint rallies at the district level on January 14, featuring prominent leaders from all three parties. Following district rallies, we plan to organize divisional-level events. Once seat distribution is finalized, we will implement Lok Sabha constituency-level programs.”
Bawankule emphasized the extension of this collaboration from the district to the booth level, fostering unity among workers from all parties. The press conference saw the participation of Shiv Sena minister Dadaji Bhuse and Sunil Tatkare, the chief of NCP (Ajit Pawar) Maharashtra unit. The BJP leader expressed confidence, stating, “Regardless of which party secures the Lok Sabha seats, workers from all three parties will tirelessly strive for victory. We aim to secure more than 45 seats with a 51 percent vote share, aligning with the vision set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I assure you that we will secure over 225 seats in the Assembly polls as well.”
Bawankule asserted that leaders from various parties are eager to join the ruling coalition, predicting a depletion of workers in the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA). He highlighted the acceptance of the central leadership’s decision on seat sharing, emphasizing that the ultimate voting would be for the leadership of Narendra Modi and the collective vision they aim to realize.
