Maharashtra Rural Development Minister Girish Mahajan expressed his confidence in the Mahayuti alliance’s ability to secure the Baramati Lok Sabha seat. In contrast to the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), led by Sharad Pawar, which asserts that its MP, Supriya Sule, will once again contest and emerge victorious in Baramati, Mahajan, representing the BJP, is optimistic about a Mahayuti candidate’s triumph in the constituency.
During his visit to Baramati on Tuesday, Mahajan stated, “We will not only win Baramati, but we will win all 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra in the 2024 elections.” He further emphasized, “I never lie; I always speak the truth. Some people in Baramati will not believe my words. But it is a fact that we—the Mahayuti alliance composed of the BJP, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar-led NCP, and other parties—will win the Baramati Lok Sabha seat. Not just Baramati, but we will win all the seats in the state.”
Mahajan’s confidence is rooted in the belief that the Mahayuti alliance, with the support of key political figures such as Ajit Pawar and his MLAs, is poised for success. He asserted, “This time, the Opposition will be clean-bowled. This time, Ajit Pawar and his MLAs are with us. And therefore, we will win the Baramati seat.”
