Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais graced the 6th Moonwhite International Film Festival awards ceremony in Mumbai, where stars from the film and music industries such as Anup Jalota, Jaspinder Narula, Agam Kumar Nigam, Sameer Anjaan, Dilraj Kaur, Pandit Suvashit Raj, and director Sudhir Attawar were in attendance.
As the distinguished Chief Guest on Sunday, Governor Ramesh Bais praised Devashish Sargam Raj for organizing an outstanding film festival and congratulated all award recipients on their achievements. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp was undertaken by Governor Ramesh Bais, alongside Jaspinder Narula, Devashish Sargam Raj, Anup Jalota, Shipra Raj, and Pandit Suvashit Raj, marking the inauguration of the event after the national anthem.
The Kannada film “Mrityorma” won four awards, with Sudhir Attavar taking Best Director and Nivedita taking Best Film and Best Actress. Agam Kumar Nigam received the Lifetime Achievement Award, and legendary lyricist Sameer Anjaan was also honored.
Anup Jalota captivated the audience with his soulful renditions of “Teri Aankhen” and his well-known bhajan “Aisi Laagi Lagan.” Hits by Agam Kumar Nigam include “Likhe Jo Khat Tujhe,” “Suhani Raat Dhal Chuki,” and “Badi Mastani Hai Meri Mehbooba.” Georgian singer Laila won hearts by performing “Humne To Loot Liya” alongside international songs, while dancer Rishika performed an exquisite classical dance to the song “Mohe Panghat Pe.”
Devashish Sargam Raj, the festival’s founder and director, expressed immense joy at the governor’s attendance, thanking him warmly for the encouragement and support bestowed upon the event’s success.
