A committee, led by Public Works Minister Dadaji Bhuse with member Rais Shaikh and others, has been constituted by the Maharashtra government to investigate issues in the power loom sector. The committee is tasked with visiting key power loom centers, including Bhiwandi, Malegaon, and Ichalkaranji, and submitting a comprehensive report within a month. The initiative follows a recent Legislative Assembly motion by Shaikh, addressing concerns in the power loom industry. State Textile Minister Chandrakant Patil announced the committee’s formation to examine and resolve industry challenges.
