In Maharashtra, close to Nashik, a fire erupted in the Shalimar LTT Express’ luggage compartment, according to officials on Saturday.

“A fire was reported in the luggage compartment of the Shalimar LTT Express near Nashik. The luggage compartment detached from the train. Passenger bogies unaffected,” said Central Railway.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. More information is awaited.

On Thursday morning, the Pune Fire Brigade said that five fire engines had arrived at the godown on Sopan Nagar’s Ahmednagar Road after a fire outbreak there had been detected.

All 35 occupants of a state transportation (ST) bus that caught fire on November 1 in Pimpalvihir, Amravati, were reportedly unharmed.

In the meantime, an explosion of an LPG gas cylinder on Wednesday caused a fire to start on the terrace of Mumbai’s Chhabildas English Medium School. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) reported that two parked automobiles on the school’s property were damaged in the fire, which injured three people who were later admitted to Sion Hospital.
