President Ram Nath Kovind called on Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Saturday at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Taking to Twitter, Rashtrapati Bhavan informed, “Eknath Shinde, Chief Minister, along with Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister, called on President Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan.”

Later in the day, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will likely meet Prime Minister and BJP President JP Nadda.

Earlier, CM Shinde and Deputy CM Fadnavis met Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday and discussed various subjects.

Meanwhile, in June this year, Eknath Shinde launched a revolt against the party, leading to the MVA government’s collapse.

However, on Thursday, Shinde formally took charge of the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) in the presence of Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis. On Monday, Shinde also won the floor test in which 164 MLAs voted for the confidence motion. In contrast, 99 voted against it, and three legislators abstained from voting in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.

Notably, a day prior, Udhhav Thackeray quit the CM post, and with the support of the BJP, Shinde became the 20th chief minister of Maharashtra. On June 30, Shinde was sworn in as the 20th Chief Minister of Maharashtra, and Devendra Fadnavis took oath as the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra.
