The Magadh Express, traveling from New Delhi to Islampur, was split into two after a coupling break between Turiganj and Raghunathpur railway stations in Bihar’s Buxar district on Sunday at around 11:08 am. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and rescue teams are currently addressing the issue.
Sharswati Chandra, Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of East Central Railway, confirmed the incident. “The coupling of the Magadh Express (20802) broke, causing the train to split. Technical teams and rescue personnel are on-site, working to resolve the problem as quickly as possible,” she said. An investigation will be conducted to determine the cause of the incident.
