Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav took decisive action following the tragic road accident in Guna district, where 13 lives were lost and 17 people sustained injuries. CM Yadav visited the Guna district hospital to meet the victims and announced the suspension of two authorities for negligence in handling the aftermath of the incident.

The Chief Minister ordered the immediate suspension of the Regional Transport Officer (RTO) for failing to conduct vehicle checks and the Chief Municipal Officer (CMO) for a delayed response in dispatching the fire brigade team to the accident site. After conducting a preliminary investigation, CM Yadav expressed his determination to take strict action against those responsible for the unfortunate incident.

“The incident occurred around 8:30 pm last night. 13 people have died in the accident. I am trying to get every possible detail of the accident, and strict action will be taken against the responsible people,” stated CM Yadav after meeting the victims.

Guna Collector Tarun Rathi provided details of the tragic accident, confirming 13 fatalities and 17 injuries. Search efforts are ongoing for those missing, and two authorities have been suspended. A case has been registered against the bus driver and operator involved in the collision.

MP KP Yadav, representing the Guna Lok Sabha constituency, commended the Chief Minister’s serious approach to the matter and announced financial assistance. “He has announced financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh each to the family of the deceased and Rs 50,000 each to the injured. Action has also been taken against those who have been negligent, following which the RTO and CMO have been suspended,” KP Yadav stated.

Earlier, CM Yadav initiated a probe into the incident, leading to the formation of a four-member investigation committee. The committee is expected to submit its report within three days, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of the circumstances surrounding the tragic accident.
