In anticipation of the imminent vote counting in Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan confidently stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is poised to form a robust government in the state with a substantial majority.

Addressing reporters in Bhopal on Saturday, CM Chouhan expressed confidence in the BJP’s prospects, emphasizing the widespread support garnered from all segments of society. He mentioned the blessings received from various sections, including ‘Ladli Bahna’ (beloved sisters) and the younger generation, asserting that the BJP has secured backing from diverse social strata, indicating a decisive victory.

Referring to the speculation on the BJP’s seat count, Chouhan indicated a paradigm shift in outcomes and remained non-committal, stating, “All previous estimations would prove inadequate.”

Responding to the Congress party’s assertion of confidence in victory, Chouhan refrained from making explicit comments, suggesting that clarity on the election results would prevail only on the upcoming day.

Madhya Pradesh witnessed a substantial voter turnout of 77.15% across its 230 constituencies during the elections held on November 17. The eagerly anticipated vote counting is scheduled for December 3.

Exit polls largely favor the BJP in Madhya Pradesh, with most projections positioning them ahead, although a few projections present a favorable outlook for the Congress party.
