Luxury cruise line Villa Vie Residences has introduced its new “Skip Forward” program, offering Americans the option to embark on a four-year global voyage, providing an alternative for those seeking to step away from the United States’ political scene. This immersive journey, priced at approximately $40,000 annually, takes guests on a worldwide adventure, allowing them to explore diverse destinations while leaving domestic matters behind.
Fox Business reports that the four-year package can be purchased upfront, with prices set at $159,999 per person for double-occupancy cabins and $255,999 for singles. Villa Vie describes the journey as a worry-free escape, with the tagline, “Pay once and never worry about it again.” Villa Vie’s CEO, Mikael Petterson, emphasized that the program was planned prior to Donald Trump’s 2024 election win. “This package resonates with those who said they’d leave the country if a particular candidate won,” he explained, while noting the program’s appeal to travelers of all political perspectives.
Despite the timing, the package does not mention Trump directly, though it mirrors other politically motivated travel options Villa Vie has offered in previous years. Their two-year “Mid-Term Selection” package, introduced ahead of the 2026 midterms, also caters to those looking for a unique travel experience tied to political milestones.
Anne Alms, Villa Vie’s Head of Sales, highlighted the appeal of the cruise: “Villa Vie offers a once-in-a-lifetime way to see the world at a slow pace, giving guests time to genuinely connect with each port’s culture.”
Villa Vie recently rolled out an additional “Endless Horizons” package, aimed at retirees concerned about living expenses. Chief Operating Officer Kathy Villalba explained, “This program offers retirees a secure lifestyle at sea, eliminating the worry of outliving their savings while exploring the world.”
